Axle Box Inner-Wall Laser Cleaning System
Dedicated laser cleaning for efficient, non-damaging axle box inner-wall treatment.
Integrating specialized laser cleaning heads for inner walls, visual recognition systems, variable-frequency motion mechanisms, six-axis robots, and an integrated operation platform, this equipment can automatically remove oil contamination and rust from the inner walls of the bogie axle boxes. It enables standardized, high-efficiency, and environmentally friendly batch processing of the base material without causing damage, ensuring that the inner bore dimensions meet technical specifications after cleaning.
Solution
To meet the maintenance and cleaning requirements for the inner walls of rail transit axle boxes, we provide specialized laser cleaning solutions. Utilizing a non-contact cleaning method, this solution prevents damage to the dimensional precision of the inner walls, integrates seamlessly with axle box maintenance assembly lines, enables automated batch processing, and replaces conventional sandblasting and manual grinding processes. This approach addresses challenges such as difficult cleaning of hard-to-reach areas on inner walls, low efficiency, and significant environmental contamination, thereby fulfilling the high precision and environmental protection requirements of axle box maintenance operations in vehicle depots.

Working Principle
(1) Introduction: The equipment adopts a special inner‑wall rotating laser head. After refracting the laser beam, it delivers 360° uniform irradiation along the inner wall, so that rust layers and oil contaminants on the inner‑wall surface are vaporized and stripped by heat. With its visual positioning system, the equipment accurately aligns with the axle box hole, controls the laser head to advance and rotate at a constant speed, and its built‑in negative‑pressure channel simultaneously extracts smoke and dust generated from the inner wall in real time. Supported by patented reflectivity detection technology, it automatically verifies the cleaning effect and performs supplementary cleaning. The whole‑process non‑contact operation will not damage the precision of the inner hole. (2) Process Flow Chart: Axle box loading and positioning → Visual identification of hole position → Laser‑head feeding for cleaning → Inner‑wall purging and dust removal → Automatic re‑inspection via reflectivity testing → Unloading of qualified workpieces
Why Choose Us

Frequently Asked Questions
Can shaft boxes with different inner diameters be used interchangeably in the same equipment?
Yes. The cleaning head and parameters can be customized based on the specific inner diameter specifications of the customer's axle box, ensuring compatibility with the requirements of various vehicle models.
Can the hard-to-reach areas at the bottom of the bearing housing be thoroughly cleaned?
Yes. The dedicated laser head can penetrate deep into the bottom of the bearing housing, and through angular adjustment, it achieves comprehensive cleaning of both the bottom surface and the transition fillet, eliminating any cleaning dead zones.
Will cleaning affect the dimensional accuracy of the bearing housing?
No. The equipment employs non-contact laser stripping, featuring precisely controllable energy that targets only the surface contaminant layer, thereby avoiding damage to the inner wall substrate and ensuring that the inner bore dimensional tolerances remain unchanged.
Can the equipment automatically detect the cleaning effectiveness?
Yes. The equipment is equipped with a built-in patented reflectance detection module that automatically scans the inner walls after cleaning, identifies uncleaned areas, and performs automatic supplementary cleaning, thereby ensuring consistent cleaning quality. Q: Can the outer wall of the bearing housing also be cleaned? A: Standard models are designed specifically for inner-wall cleaning. If you require simultaneous cleaning of the outer wall, you may add an external laser cleaning station to achieve integrated inner-and outer-wall cleaning.
What are some real-world application cases for this equipment?
The equipment has been successfully deployed in the integrated cleaning project for vehicle components and axle boxes of Shenzhen Metro, and has passed the on-site acceptance inspection conducted by the project owner.
